I know, I know – it’s so mind-numbingly boring reading about sunscreen, SPFs and UV filters. The only thing more boring than reading about it is applying said sunscreens, SPFs and UV filters.
I don’t know about you, but this is the way my mind works: I know how important it is to be careful in the sun… But… I’m only going to be out for an hour. And I’ll be moving around, not lying on a beach. And it’s only May so the sun can’t be that strong yet. These factors make it OK for me to leave the sunscreen at home don’t they? No they don’t. Last year I went on holiday with a friend and she ended up getting badly burned. Since then she has developed patches of dark skin on her arms and back which won’t go away. And the doctor’s have told her to stay out of the sun all together. So I have been scared into action.
